Level 2 Award in Conflict Management

The Level 2 Award in Conflict Management is a qualification that is intended for people who may come in to contact with conflict situations. It is suitable for all areas:  such as with customers, service users and the public. The qualification covers how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce the likelihood of conflict, the factors that influence human responses in conflict situations, how to assess and reduce risks in conflict situations, and good practice to follow after conflict situations.

Anger is either a fledged rage or short term annoyance and is completely normal. When it gets out of control it can be destructive and make a person a threat. Violent incidents go through four (4) basic stages:

Frustration

  • Calm
  • Confusion and Misunderstanding
  • Stress and Frustration

Anger

  • Arguments

Aggression

  • Verbal Abuse

Violence

  • Physical aggression

Frustration and anger provoke feelings, which allow us to fight and defend ourselves. Using both theory and scenario based learning we can help you to understand triggers to behaviour in order to help manage conflict and bring about a win win for everyone!
